The Regional Council of Chichaoua, chaired by Abdelrahim Boustout, held its regular session for January 2023, attended by the regional governor, the secretary general of the prefecture, the council president and members, a representative of the regional office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the heads of departments.
The handover of administrative and sports facilities and a public square to the Chichaoua municipality was unanimously approved, as was a partnership agreement between the Regional Council and the Chichaoua Regional Directorate for Youth Affairs regarding support for and promotion of educational activities and camping.
As for the third item on the agenda of the regular session, concerning the review and approval of a partnership agreement between the General Directorate of Local Communities, the Directorate of Rural Affairs, and the Regional Council for the construction of 117 kilometers of roads in the region, has been postponed pending the update of a technical study on the planned roads, at the request of the regional governor.
