المغرب يستضيف مؤتمر “الفاو” الإقليمي لإفريقيا في العام 2024

يحتضن؛ المغرب المؤتمر الإقليمي القادم لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة (الفاو) لإفريقيا، المقرر عقده في العام 2024.

وأوضح بلاغ لسفارة المملكة في إيطاليا؛ أن مؤتمر “الفاو” الإقليمي ال32 لإفريقيا، الذي يعقد في مالابو خلال الفترة ما بين 11 و14 أبريل، صادق على ترشيح المغرب لاستضافة مؤتمر “الفاو” الإقليمي القادم لإفريقيا في العام 2024.

وسيمكن هذا الحدث من تعزيز التعاون بين المغرب ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة والدول الإفريقية، من أجل رفع تحديات المنطقة في مجالات الفلاحة، التنمية القروية والأمن الغذائي.

ويشرف المؤتمر الإقليمي على إجراء مشاورات رفيعة المستوى من أجل تشخيص المشاكل المحددة للمنطقة والرهانات ذات الأولوية، والتي ينبغي أخذها بعين الاعتبار في بلورة برنامج العمل والميزانية لفترة سنتين التالية، وبهدف ملاءمة الأهداف طويلة المدى للمنظمة مع احتياجات المنطقة.

ويمكن للمؤتمر الإقليمي تقديم توصيات إلى الدول الأعضاء في المنطقة، وإلى المؤتمر، المجلس، المدير العام، وعن طريق المدير العام، للجنة الاقتصادية لإفريقيا والأمم المتحدة.
