The PAM Political Bureau expresses its pride in the government’s positive interim achievements and its satisfaction with the outcomes of the recent April agreement between the government and its economic and social partners

The Political Bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party held its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, chaired by the collective leadership of the party’s General Secretariat. The meeting took place both remotely and in person at the party’s headquarters in Rabat and was devoted to discussing developments in the national political arena and internal organizational matters.

The meeting included a detailed policy presentation by Ms. Fatima Al-Zahra Al-Mansouri, Coordinator of the Collective Leadership of the General Secretariat, followed by an in-depth and substantive discussion.

In this context, the party’s Political Bureau expressed its pride in the government’s positive interim achievements, which truly reflect our country’s development and progress on many fronts, thanks to the wise and strategic leadership of His Majesty the King and the combined efforts of all active forces and national institutions, including the strong political will for reform possessed by the governing majority in all its components, and above all the collective struggles led by the party from its various positions within the government and parliament, as well as on other fronts of struggle within society.

In this context, the Political Bureau commended the positive response of the political parties in Parliament to these results, as well as the resurgence of political and constitutional debate and dialogue on these issues within the relevant constitutional institutions, given that Parliament is the natural forum for fostering discussion on all matters of concern to the nation and its citizens.

The Sabasi Office also expressed its satisfaction with the outcomes of the recent April agreement between the government and economic and social partners within the framework of the Social Dialogue Institution, and with the significant results it has yielded in improving the social conditions of more than four million households of public and private sector workers, a development that reflects the unprecedented economic and social progress achieved by the current government.

In this context, while the Political Bureau commends the positive and constructive engagement of the government’s social and economic partners in ensuring the success of the social dialogue, and reaffirms the Party’s commitment to the various social reforms being undertaken by the government, as well as the efforts of its economic experts to prepare detailed studies on these reforms to be submitted to the government majority for consideration; the Political Bureau calls on all parties to make every effort to adhere to the deadlines agreed upon in the April 29, 2024, agreement regarding urgent social reforms, particularly with regard to enacting the organic law regulating the right to strike, as well as proceeding with the reform of pension funds.
