Karim Al-Hams, head of the Authenticity and Modernity Group in the House of Councillors, submitted a written question to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests regarding the reforestation of the Jebel Chouine forest in the douars of Abu Ayazn and Afrazaz, in the commune of Bourd, Akhnoul district, Taza province.
Al-Hams reported that the “Jebel Shuin” forest in the villages of Abu Ayazn and Afrazaz, in the Bourd commune of the Akhnoul district in the Taza region; was the site of major fires that destroyed dozens of hectares of forest cover, requiring everyone to act quickly to reforest the affected areas, despite the commendable and tremendous efforts made by civil protection, water and forestry officials, and local authorities to respond swiftly to this unfortunate incident.
The parliamentary advisor urged the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests to take urgent measures to reforest the Chouine Forest.
