Dr. Hanan Atarquin, a member of parliament from the Authenticity and Modernity Party, called for the necessary measures to be taken to support domestic tourism during the upcoming summer season.
This came in response to an oral question posed by Atkin to the Minister of Tourism, Traditional Industry, and the Social and Solidarity Economy.
The same spokesperson noted that domestic tourism is “one of the products that can bolster the tourism sector, strengthen its presence, facilitate its recovery, and ensure the sustainability of its services.”
According to Atkin, this product must “take into account the specific nature of their needs and their purchasing power, so that Moroccan citizens can fulfill their families’ wishes to spend a summer vacation of their choosing.”
The questioner added that this requires offering a comprehensive package at reasonable prices, while ensuring high-quality services and a variety of options (beach or mountain areas, hotels, chalets, or furnished apartments), taking into account the economic and social conditions our country is facing due to the repercussions of the global economic crisis coupled with the ongoing recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
