On Tuesday, March 12, 2019, Rachid Tamek, President of the Regional Council of Assa-Zag, presided over the opening of the first regional women’s forum, organized under the theme “March 8: For Women Active in Society and Development,” with the participation of the Secretary of State for Traditional Industry and the Social Economy, and the Governor of the Asa-Zag Region.

This first regional women’s forum, organized in Asa-Zag, is being held to commemorate International Women’s Day and to recognize women’s significant and active role in advancing society across various fields and in promoting national development.
In the same context, Rachid Tamek, alongside the Secretary of State for Traditional Crafts and the Social Economy, visited the region’s exhibition of women’s cooperatives in the fields of traditional crafts and local products, and launched a women’s indoor soccer league.
