Zainab Chala, President of the Tasaltant Municipal Council, along with the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi Region, the Secretary General of the Marrakech Prefecture, the Secretary General for Regional Affairs, and the Regional Director of the Marrakech Urban Development Agency, conducted an inspection visit to the urban development program for the Thakana and Harakat neighborhoods in the Tasaltant municipality.
This inspection visit comes amid ongoing construction projects in the aforementioned neighborhoods, most notably the provision of potable water, sewerage and road works, as well as the construction and equipping of two cultural centers in Thakana and Harakat, in addition to the creation of neighborhood playgrounds and green spaces, and facade improvement works along the main roads.
Ms. Shala revealed that the governor had issued instructions to accelerate the pace of the remaining work and to complete the fitting out of the facilities that were visited; and to establish clear programs for managing these facilities in full coordination among all stakeholders, in order to achieve their intended objectives, particularly improving residents’ living conditions and enhancing cultural and social services while improving the urban landscape.
