On Friday, June 7, 2024, the regional headquarters of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in Khenifra hosted an outreach meeting led by Fatima Khadoui, a member of the National Council of the Party’s Women’s Organization and head of the National Social Security Fund’s branch in Khenifra, on the topic of “Health Coverage: Then and Now,” for the benefit of farmers, artisans, and self-employed contractors.
In this context, Fatima Khadoui, the moderator of the meeting, outlined to the audience—comprising representatives from various sectors—the new approach designed to ensure the success of the social protection project in its integrated sense, which balances protection as a human right and as a development policy aimed at achieving economic takeoff—a vision that aligns with the King’s far-sighted vision when His Majesty issued his royal instructions on the occasion of the 2020 Throne Day to accelerate the implementation of the various components of our country’s social protection system.

Khadoui revealed that His Majesty the King, may God assist him, emphasized in the same speech that “providing social protection for all Moroccans will remain our top priority until we are able to extend it to all social groups,” adding that “the time has come to launch a decisive initiative to extend social coverage to all Moroccans over the next five years.”
The moderator of the meeting also emphasized that one of the key recommendations called for by the new development model, aimed at establishing a solid foundation for basic social protection, is to universalize and standardize comprehensive health coverage to enable all citizens to access a basket of essential treatments. This serves as a structural foundation that can contribute to significant economic growth and strengthen social cohesion and the bonds within society.
In conclusion, Fatima Khadawi answered all the questions raised, which had been of particular concern to these groups, leaving the audience deeply satisfied.
