The Azilal Regional Council, chaired by Salah Dian, held its extraordinary session on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in the meeting room of the Azilal Prefecture, in the presence of the Prefecture’s Secretary General, the Council’s Director of Services, several Council officials, and the majority of Council members.
The session was devoted to discussing a single item: the review and approval of the draft rules of procedure for the Council, which outline how the Council’s affairs are to be managed and administered, how its subsidiary bodies are to operate, and define the relationship between the Council’s various bodies and committees.
The session began with a speech by the Council President, in which he congratulated all members elected to the Regional Council, calling on them to show solidarity and join forces to serve the public interest and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the region’s residents. For his part, he pledged to be open to all members of the Council, both the majority and the opposition.
