Mohamed El Mehdi Bensaid, a member of the collective leadership of the General Secretariat of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, stated that the PAM was founded under the specific political circumstances and context the country was experiencing at the time. He noted that the party introduced a new political vision imbued with a spirit of change and renewal, offering young people who dream of change the opportunity to reach decision-making positions, He also emphasized the values of “Tamghrabit” that we draw from the Emirate of the Believers, during his appearance as a guest at a political, cultural, and social symposium organized by the Al-Faqih Al-Tetouani Foundation on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Responding to questions from journalists, Minister Bensaid recalled his early days in politics with the Authenticity and Modernity Party, noting that the beginning was fraught with challenges, “but I was fortunate to join a party that believes in young people and gives them the opportunity to realize their ambitions.”
Minister Bensaid added, “We have faced many difficulties and obstacles over the years since our founding, but our belief in our vision and our social and political project—‘social democracy’—has always been the driving force that propels us forward. We worked day and night, learning from our mistakes and rising after every setback with greater strength and determination.”
“Bensaid explained that the goal of founding the Authenticity and Modernity Party has always been to improve citizens’ living conditions and promote democracy and social justice. We championed these causes from within the opposition for 12 years, and today we are striving to put them into practice from our position as the majority party.”
The same spokesperson added, “We believe that Morocco deserves the best, and that young people are the backbone of any positive change,” urging young people to believe in their abilities and get involved in political life, saying, “Don’t let obstacles deter you from achieving your dreams; the future lies ahead of us, and we are capable of bringing about change.”
He concluded his remarks by saying, “The Authenticity and Modernity Party will always believe in young people and their ability to make a difference,” and appealed to them: “Let us work together, hand in hand, to realize the Authenticity and Modernity Party’s vision of a progressive and prosperous Moroccan society.”
