The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) achieved a notable victory in the partial municipal elections held today, Tuesday, April 22, in the province of Taza (Fez-Meknes region), after four of its candidates won seats in various municipalities, thereby strengthening its political presence in the province.
The results were as follows:
– Lubna Wardi, representing Constituency 3 in the Oulad Cherif municipality,
– El Ghazi Ajtiou, representing Constituency 16 in the Beni Farsan municipality,
– Lahcen El-Shahdi El-Wazani, representing Constituency 13 in the Beni Farsan municipality,
– Nour al-Din Lazraq, representing Constituency 10 in the Upper Quarter district.
These results followed grassroots election campaigns led by the party’s candidates, which focused on building rapport and engaging with residents on local issues, ranging from infrastructure improvements to youth support and the enhancement of social services.
This victory is a continuation of the rise of the Authenticity and Modernity Party in local elections in general, reflecting voters’ growing confidence in its political vision and community-focused platform, particularly in rural areas facing multiple development challenges.
These results highlight the party’s position as a key player in the political landscape of the Taza region, at a time when the local sphere is undergoing significant changes in terms of political representation and participation. There are indications that this momentum will be reflected in future political balances within municipal councils, to the benefit of the residents of the relevant local communities in the Taza region.
