On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Microenterprises, Employment, and Skills, Mr. Younes Sekouri, presented a report to the Public Finance Oversight Committee on “Oversight of the Management of the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills in Light of the Observations and Recommendations Contained in the Report of the Supreme Audit Institution for the 2019/2020 Fiscal Year.”
During his presentation at the meeting chaired by Ms. Latifa Lablih, Chair of the Public Finance Oversight Committee, the minister emphasized that the agency focuses on graduates seeking their first job, and is working to strengthen and develop services and programs targeting various groups, which is a strategic direction for the agency’s 2022–2026 action plan.
The minister stated that the agency is working to strengthen its position as a public employment service through new responsibilities and a new system, as well as various national and regional programs entrusted to the agency with the aim of better supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, developing employment abroad, while strengthening and developing digitalization and remote services, and expanding target groups and territorial coverage.
The minister explained that, to ensure effective management of youth employment recovery programs, a committee has been formed for each program comprising the Employment Sector, the Budget Directorate, the National Agency for Employment and Skills Promotion, and the National Social Security Fund. Additionally, development plans have been incorporated into regional and local program contracts, audit and management oversight functions have been strengthened, and a range of services has been established and implemented to provide guidance and support to project leaders.
