The Secretary-General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, Mr. Abdellatif Wahbi, stated that the traffic accident he was involved in was a routine incident caused by his own mistake and, in particular, by the other party, who was driving at excessive speed.
In a video statement to the “Al-Youm 24” website, Wahbi added that some of the photos posted on social media had no connection to the incident in question, noting that the accident he was involved in was minor, resulting only in property damage and no injuries, and emphasizing that he had initiated all necessary procedures through an amicable settlement agreement.
Wahbi asserted that the published photos are fake and that he knows who released them; it is clear that they originated from associations of elected officials from a certain party that employs such despicable tactics. He considered this to be part of the political struggle, but described these tactics as “despicable” because they endanger people’s physical safety.
Wahbi thanked everyone who had inquired about him, assuring them that he was in good health and was now carrying out his political and parliamentary duties as usual.
