Le renseignement financier présente son bilan sur le blanchiment de capitaux et le financement du terrorisme
L’Unité de traitement du renseignement financier (UTRF) a reçu en 2019 un total de 1.737 déclarations de soupçons (DS) liées à des cas de blanchiment de capitaux et de financement du terrorisme, soit un accroissement de 60% par rapport à l’année précédente.
Le niveau de l’activité déclarative se caractérise clairement par le maintien d’une hausse significative quasi-linéaire, notamment depuis 2016, a-t-on précisé dans le rapport annuel de 2019 de l’UTRF, instance nationale de lutte contre le blanchiment de capitaux et le financement du terrorisme (LBC/FT).
Au cours de l’année 2019, l’UTRF a reçu, 1674 DS liées au blanchiment de capitaux (BC) et 63 DS relatives au financement du terrorisme (FT), ce qui porte le nombre total de DS reçues depuis 2009, date de création de l’UTRF, à 5004 pour celles liées au BC et à 165 pour celles liées au FT, révéle le rapport.
Pour ce qui est des principaux pourvoyeurs des DS, le rapport fait ressortir que les Banques Conventionnelles, les Banques Offshore et les Banques Participatives demeurent les principaux pourvoyeurs de DS. Leur part représente 60,22% de l’ensemble des DS émanant des personnes assujetties du secteur financier et non financier.
S’agissant de la catégorie des sociétés de gestion de moyens de paiement et des établissements de paiement, elle arrive en deuxième place avec une part de 37,07% de l’ensemble des DS reçues par l’UTRF.
