Le Salon «Al Omrane Expo Marocains du monde» a fait escale, en cette fin de semaine, à Montréal, au Canada, à la rencontre des Marocains d’Amérique du Nord.
Après Paris, Madrid et Bruxelles, il s’agit de la dernière étape de la tournée annuelle de ce salon itinérant qui en est à sa 7ème édition.
«Al Omrane Expo MDM» est placé sous l’égide du ministère de l’Aménagement du territoire national, de l’urbanisme, de l’habitat et de la politique de la ville, avec le soutien du ministère des Affaires étrangères, de la coopération africaine et des Marocains résidents à l’étranger.
L’escale de Montréal représente une «étape particulière» du fait de son importance dans la stratégie de proximité suivie par le Groupe Al Omrane pour se rapprocher d’avantage des Marocains du Monde, notamment dans la région nord-américaine, a indiqué le président du directoire du groupe, Badr El Kanouni.
L’Expo MDM permet, a-t-il dit, de leur présenter sur place, les opportunités d’investissement et de partenariat qu’offrent les différents programmes immobiliers et d’aménagement foncier au niveau de l’ensemble du territoire national.
El Kanouni a rappelé que le Groupe Al Omrane, opérateur public au service de l’Habitat et du développement urbain, a toujours placé les Marocains du monde au cœur de sa stratégie et a très tôt mis en place parmi ses dispositifs de communication et de promotion à leur adresse, ce salon itinérant annuel pour d’avantage de proximité.
Dans une intervention lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture, l’ambassadeur du Maroc au Canada, Souriya Otmani a souligné l’importance de la tenue de ce Salon en tant qu’opportunité pour s’ouvrir aux Marocains du monde et les motiver à investir et à contribuer au développement économique et social de leur pays d’origine, conformément à la Vision royale.
L’organisation de cet évènement coïncide avec le 60ème anniversaire de l’établissement des relations maroco-canadiennes dans lesquelles la communauté marocaine joue un rôle pivot sur les plans économique, social et culturel, a ajouté la diplomate.
Le Salon a été marqué notamment par une conférence placée sous le thème: «Marocains du monde, une composante essentielle du développement socio-économique du Royaume », qui a permis de mettre en avant l’importance de la participation de la communauté marocaine à l’étranger au processus de développement du Maroc.
Elle a vu la participation de représentants de différentes catégories socio-professionnelles et composantes de la société civile des Marocains établis au Canada, lesquels ont souligné l’intérêt qu’ils accordent à une contribution plus active au développement de la mère patrie, se joignant ainsi à l’élan national et citoyen en réponse à l’appel de SM le Roi Mohammed VI pour une plus forte implication des Marocains du monde dans le développement du Royaume.
«Al Omrane Expo MDM» qui a démarré cette année à Paris du 20 au 22 mai, et fait escale à Madrid du 10 au 12 juin et à Bruxelles du 21 au 23 octobre, a connu une forte affluence de la communauté marocaine à chacune de ces étapes.
Depuis son lancement en 2013, ce salon itinérant a permis, à travers ses 64 étapes, de sillonner 45 villes sur quatre continents, et de toucher plus de 550.000 Marocains du monde.
