Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi presided over the installation of Mr. Othman Abid as the new Director of Legislation at the Ministry of Justice

Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi presided last Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Ministry of Justice over the installation of Mr. Othman Abid as the new Director of Legislation Directory at the Ministry of Justice.

This investiture has come following the adoption by the government council meeting of last Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Rabat chaired by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, President of the Government, and the appointment proposal of Mr. Othman Abid as the new Director of Legislation Directory, according to chapter 92 of the constitution.

Prof. Abid is a judge of en exceptional grade, holder of law certificate, in private law, a Master Degree of law and development management; he was also a lawyer from 1997 through 1999. Mr. Abid has graduated from the Higher Judiciary Institute (session 1999-2001) and has worked as a judge at the first instance courts of justice in Larache and Nador from 2001 until 2011.

Mr. Abid joined the Ministry of Justice at the beginning of 2012 as a judge at civil affairs directory, chief of service then chief of division at the same directory.

Mr. Abid has worked as director ad interim at civil affairs directory and has chaired several commissions, including the commission in charge magistrate experts and the commission in charge of sworn translators at the courts of justice and he is also a visiting professor at the Higher Judiciary Institute.
