Constructive opposition … PAM representatives vote for the amendment of the health coverage code

Out of concern for positive interaction with all legislative initiatives aimed at improving the situation of Moroccans in various fields and sectors, the Authenticity and Modernity team has recently voted for the bill proposal on amending the first paragraph of Article 6 of Law No. 65.00 regarding the health coverage code.

The team explained, during a plenary session held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, that this project would contribute to strengthening the principles of equality between parents with regard to their shared responsibility, stressing that the proposal comes in order to enable children to benefit from the health coverage that parents see fit for their children’s well being, which will ensure that they benefit from the best health coverage system available, in line with achieving what is best for their children.

The team added that this amendment would do justice to Moroccan women for they carry the same responsibilities as their spouses while taking caring of their children, especially since the original article stipulates that deciding the latter rests with the man, adding that the project will greatly contribute to ensuring the children’s right to access medical services, which is one of the rights granted by the Moroccan constitution.
