PAM / Elections 2021 – The party’s electoral committee issues a 4th report relating to regional candidates

By virtue of the candidacy guide on the House of Representatives’ elections relating to regional lists, PAM’s electoral committee held a meeting, upon which, the latter decided the following:

First: by virtue of the committee’s decision to annul candidacies that have been submitted within the specified deadline, and in view of the elections’ schedule, the committee has urged PAM’s Secretary General and the President of the party’s National Council, respectively, to open a direct dialogue with the regional officials in the prospect of nominating a substitute candidate. In this respect, the party has decided to name Mme Jaouhara Bousejjada to its Beni Mellal – Khenifra regional list, upon the latter’s appellate process, for the committee’s ruling in this regard stipulates that Mme Bousejjada is a valid PAM member, for she has represented the party earlier, in her capacity of third vice-president to Souk Sebt communal council, between 2009 and 2015. The committee has also claimed that Mme Bousejjada’s candidacy for the 2016 elections has been annulled, therefore, she was under the obligation of submitting her electoral credentials as a member of a different party. However, by virtue of the latter’s resignation from the said party, and in view of presenting a thorough critical report on the matter, PAM members have all agreed to welcome Mme Bousejjada into the party once again. In respect of the above, the committee declared Mme Jaouhara Bousejjada regional list deputy within Beni Mellal – Khenifra region.

Second: the committee has decided to declare Nadia Boutlout’s candidacy within the Oriental region as null, provided her earlier registration within Meknes regional list, rather than a respective Oriental commune, which is considered to be a valid electoral breach. By virtue of the committee’s decision in this regard, the party named fellow national council and Oriental regional council member, Mme Houria Didi, as the new regional list deputy within the Oriental region.

Third: the committee reapproved all former decisions with regard to the remaining regional list deputies.

The committee shall hereby call on all candidates to fulfil their duties accordingly, for the party to achieve positive results throughout the upcoming elections.
