RNI, PAM and PI, to act as “allies” within regional and communal councils

PAM, along with RNI and PI parties, have decided to join efforts with the aim of forming a majority within their respective councils, in the prospect of strengthening the role of institutions, creating both harmony and stability among their structures, and facing the challenges posed by citizens.

“The September 8 elections have contributed to boosting Morocco’s democratic path, for all political actors expressed their will to fortify the principles of democracy within our country, by promoting political life and electoral processes accordingly, through free expression and democratic choice”, the three parties stated in a joint communiqué.

The three parties also revealed that the Ministry of Interior and the Territorial Administration were keen on ensuring favorable conditions throughout the elections, for all citizens to choose their representatives freely, thus earning the praise of several countries and international organizations.

Within the same context, the three parties stressed that the electoral campaign was quite successful, while expressing their gratitude to all Moroccan citizens for exercising their right to vote.

In this respect, the three aforementioned parties decided to join their efforts to form a majority within their respective councils, in the prospect of strengthening the role of institutions, creating both harmony and stability among their structures, and facing the challenges posed by citizens, in full respect of the ballot results, and in an effort to condemn the reprehensible practices by numerous parties, with the aim of serving their own interest rather than that of the public.

Meanwhile, the three parties called on their council representatives to adhere to the current trend while keeping an open eye on other political components, noting that in the event of repudiating their commitment, the parties will be under the obligation of resorting to the isolation and dispossession procedures in force, as stipulated in the memorandum therein.

Such a political step represents an endorsement of the “soon-to-be-formed” government, to which RNI, PAM and PI, are expected to be the main constituents.
