Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi received the State of Palestine Ambassador along with a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Justice to discuss bilateral cooperation between both countries
Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi received on Monday, March 21, 2022, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, who was accompanied by a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Justice made up of Mr. Ahmed Dabaleh, Secretary General of the Justice Ministry, Mrs. Mayssae Hamarsheh, Director General of professional affairs and alternative means to solve disputes, Mr. A’ahed Khawaja, judge of an instance court of justice, Mr. Sobhi Helwa, President of the Magistrate in Nablus, Mr. Ashjane Daoud Legal councilor and Mr. Humam Moulhim Assistant legal councilor.
This visit has come in the context of a cooperation program between the Moroccan Kingdom and the State of Palestine, as both sides have reaffirmed the depth of historical relationships linking both countries; the Minister has expressed Morocco’s readiness and openness to share its own experience with all brotherly and friendly countries.
During the meeting, a presentation was made on the legislative framework of alternative means to solve disputes in the Moroccan law; another presentation about reconciliation in the punitive article in light of the Moroccan penal code procedure; and a third one on the digital transformation in the judiciary system, presented by the Ministry of Justice Secretary General in the presence of several officials from central administration.
This visit aims also at informing the Palestinian delegation about Morocco’s experience in the field of alternative means in resolving disputes including agreement mediation; the Palestinian delegation will also pay a visit to the Higher Council for Judicial Authority, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the administrative court in Casablanca and the center for mediation and international arbitration to help the Palestinian delegation get informed about Morocco’s accumulated experience in alternative means to resolve disputes in particular and in the justice realm in general.
