Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri presides over a meeting of the managing office for Marrakech communal council

Mrs. Ftima Zahra Mansouri, President of Marrakech communal council presided last Sunday, April 17, 2022 over a meeting of the council’s managing office.

The meeting was an occasion for Mrs. Mansouri to express her gratitude to the big success of the participative forum of Marrakech commune action program, the important attendance and the level of dialogue and debate in the workshops, confirming that it is a proof of the credibility enjoyed by the coalition of the parties managing the council, and of the principles of follow up, listening, communication and responsiveness, directly with citizens or through press and media outlets.

Several pending issues were raised during the meeting in relation with mandating some competencies to representatives, among them obstacles of absence of urbanization files in Marrakech, and the necessity to accelerate their preparation as soon as possible; establish coordination with interested sides to resolve various problems concerning villages, taking care of green spaces and deploy necessary efforts to respect rationing of water use.

The meeting has also talked about mobilizing necessary human resources to ensure permanence of following cases of death happening late every day, especially with summer coming soon and heat, including the mobilization of necessary material and logistic means to provide coffins and funeral needs free of charge on behalf of the dead, who go through health centers to avoid their families the burden of transportation and other emergency needs.

The communal council managing office has talked about the importance of human resources training, its role of improving the quality of offered communal services and challenges to manage public lighting system of the city by providing modern and elegant lightings in down-town as well as in other facilities such as local markets, sports areas and in villages.

Mrs. Mansoui has stressed on the necessity of making those services to be at the level of both local populations and visitors’ expectations, confirming the respect of sidewalks and pedestrians and to get informed about experiences in that field nationally and internationally.
