Minister Fatima Zahra Mansouri: We are fully satisfied inside the PAM about the government performance based on realism, harmony, responsibility and readiness to implement reforms of various major projects witnessed by our country
Minister of National Territory Rehabilitation, Urbanization and City Policy, Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri has praised, during her invitation on Radio Med program “Without waffling”, the harmony and strong government coalition, adding that this government reflects the results of balloting boxes of September 8 latest elections; the current government is made up of three political parties which have won the election: RNI party, the PAM and the Istiqlal party; this harmony is the result of no ideological conflict among the government’s components and the presence of rapprochement instead.
Mrs. Mansouri said “We have joined the government not for personal purposes but for participating in the reform process and implement different development projects in our country. We hope the three-party coalition will be successful to work for the behalf of Moroccan citizens”, adding “we have always been in the opposition and it’s high time that we should clarify from inside the PAM that our party has its vision and its competencies. The PAM includes many members ready to assume fully their responsibility”.
On the other hand, Mrs. Mansouri has considered that working inside the government coalition is done according to a collective approach; the President of the Government usually opens the debate in front of all ministers, listens and is open to everybody; while in case there are some differences, he plays the role of “arbitration” with calm and satisfaction; adding “we hold a government council meeting every Thursday and over a week, we hold many meetings to discuss about many issues and sectors of interest to Moroccans”.
Minister Mansouri has pointed out that PAM members and MPs should be proud of the action carried out by the party’s ministers and representatives in the government and also be proud of this responsible, harmonious and realistic current government which does care about Moroccans and works constantly to meet the challenge of getting out of the crises”, “this is the main challenge today.. to manage the crisis while at the same time to get focused on the government project we have presented to Moroccans, and the PAM is 100% satisfied with the situation inside the government”.
In relation with the government’s matters and the sector of employment, Mrs. Mansouri has disclosed that “Forsa” project led by Minister of Tourism instead of Minister of Employment, is that the Government President is the one who has the competency and right to assign the mission to any minister; “we have had a debate inside the government council meeting and have come out with one unified position; as for the government’s program over the next two years, it includes two important axis trends for the behalf of youth to create businesses and job opportunities and as said the Government President he cannot assign those two big axis trends to one single minister, the fact which would add more burden on assuming two responsibilities, that’s why the Government President has preferred to assign the management of each axis/project to one of the ministers.
This is a government of competencies that manages a difficult crisis in difficult circumstances and this has affected the living of Moroccans and their purchasing power (prices increases of lubricants as an example). We are not a bagging government and Mr. Akhannouch is not responsible for lubricants prices increases; there are efforts being made by the government to support transportation sector in dealing with the current crisis; and what concerns us is to achieve Moroccans’ ambitions over the next five years.
Mrs. Mansouri said “over the last six months, the government has worked on many files, including “Awrash” project and “Forsa” project (whose platform has received 87. 000 requests in one week). This means that Moroccans are interactive with the government action and are ready to integrate its programs. There are also initiatives to subsidize Moroccan small farmers to alleviate the drought implications, a subvention that has come on the ground of royal supreme orientations, plus support for the compensation fund (electricity, food products..) and finally the transportation sector which has benefited from a monthly y subvention worth MAD 550 million.
