Video / Interview – Mrs Mansouri : « the government’s main concern is to find solutions to problems faced by Moroccans »

“I believe in institutional action inside the PAM, my mission is the President of the party’s National Council, and I have many strong convictions and vision to contribute to the building of the nation; I have integrated a political project in which I strongly believe and I have never been in contradiction with my principles and value – which I am defending on daily basis in political – civil action”, with these expressions of deep political meanings, Minister of National Rehabilitation, Urbanization and City Policy, has chosen to start this interview as a guest on Med Radio program “with no waffling”

Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri has made clear that her integration the PAM was at the age of thirty one, when the party was still in its early experience, “a project which we have built altogether. It’s true that there were some constraints and challenges, yet we have faced them .. my commitment to my own convictions is among the factors which constitute the confidence of party members who have elected me as President of the National Council”.

From the position of her responsibility as Minister of National Territory Rehabilitation, Urbanization and City Policy, the government official has confirmed that she is on permanent communication; she insists on publishing her daily activities on social media outlets to demonstrate the various activities she is carrying out inside the Ministry, and also the various initiatives the Ministry is working on; in addition to press coverage, press reports and different stories in national newspapers and e-journals which publish the Ministry’s activities.

Mrs. Mansouri added, in the same context, that there is a communication with the majority of Moroccans through Parliament and this occurs through responses to sessions of oral and written questions submitted by MPs at both houses; “The Parliament is an occasion for the Minister to present parts of his/her job; also the Minister should embody the sector”, she said.

Mrs. Mansouri, in a related context, underlined that she has answered with full responsibility questions being asked by nation’s representatives about issues that interest the sector inside commissions and at the Parliament.

On a question about why the government doesn’t communicate, Minister Mansouri said that the government might be shortened in that, but that doesn’t mean that it does not communicate , the bottom line is that the government is working hard, adding “the appointment of the government has coincided with the health crisis with all its implications and different impacts on many sectors:

Economy, tourism, transportation… we were also facing the crisis of lack of rain, followed by the Russian – Ukrainian crisis which has had direct impact on the entire world and on Moroccans in particular in terms of their purchasing power”.

In front of this situation, the government’s main concern is to find solutions to problems faced by Moroccans, especially that the government has embraced an ambitious program to speed up the process of reforms of all major projects such as education, health …”

Minister Mansouri has reminded that the most important thing in the communication process is how to manage it “to explain to the majority of Moroccans, and what does interest me in my experience is the level of action I am presenting to the majority of citizens, women and men”; for instance, after the problem of high prices has recently been raised, all of the Minister delegate to the Ministry of Finance and Economy in charge of the budget, Mr. Faouzi Laqjaa; Minister of Finance and Economy, Mrs. Nadia Fettah Alaoui and President of the Government Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, have all come out to explain the reality of what is occurring while several measures have been taken to stand up against those problems affecting various sectors.
