Minister of Justice received President of the Iraqi Higher Judiciary Council

In the context of reinforcing bilateral cooperation relationships in the judiciary sector between the Moroccan Kingdom and the Republic of Iraq, Minister of Justice Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi received last Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his department office in Rabat President of the Iraqi Higher Judiciary Council Mr. Faeq Zidane and his accompanying delegation.

Both officials have praised the distinguished relationships between both countries, and the long-standing historical links bringing together the Moroccan Kingdom and the Republic of Iraq, reiterating the necessity to advance those relationships to reach all levels especially the judiciary sector for the sake of common goals.

Minister of Justice Mr. Ouahbi has made a brief presentation to the President of the Iraqi Higher Judiciary Council about reforms undertaken by the Moroccan Kingdom under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s wise leadership in the judiciary and in other sectors as well.

The meeting was an opportunity for the President of the Iraqi Higher Judiciary Council to give a briefing about the missions carried out by the council, confirming the necessity of deepening more judiciary cooperation and reinforcing bilateral relationships between the Moroccan Kingdom and the Republic of Iraq and exchanging expertise and experiences between the two brotherly countries.
