Minister Ghita Mezzour: Choosing our country to host the first session of “Gitex” Africa is te crowning of the Kingdom’s capabilities and ambitions to become a regional digitization pole

Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Mrs. Ghita Mezzour has stated that “choosing our country to host the first African session of “Gitex” event, has not occurred by chance, but out of the strong belief of event sponsors of the Moroccan Kingdom’s capabilities and ambitions to become a regional digital pole”, highlighting that our country’s interest in information technology, AI and digitization is inspired from His Majesty King Mohammed VI royal vision aimed at developing Africa and achieve progress and prosperity for its peoples.

Minister Mezzour has stated in a press conference held on the occasion of presenting “Gitex Africa” event hosted by the Moroccan Kingdom from May 31, to June 2, 2023, under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s high patronage that Gitex Africa – Morocco 2023 will represent an appropriate opportunity for giants and startups of the new technology from both public and private sectors in Africa and from all over the world to come to know and get informed about competencies and skills of the African digital market.

Minister Mezzour added that the Moroccan government pays a special attention to “Gitex Africa” events as a bridge between Africa and the world, since a great number of senior executives and Ministers in charge of information technology, digitization and AI from Africa and from all over the world are participating in this important event.
