Minister Fatima Zahra Mansouri made a site-visit to inspect the earthquake damage in the area of Ait Timlil and Ait Amdis and gave an explanation of the royal emergency initiative

​Minister of National Territory Rehabilitation Urbanization Housing and City Policy Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri made last Sunday September 17, 2023, a site-visit to inspect the damage left by the earthquake that has struck Ait Timlil and Ait Amdis in the area of Azilal; she was accompanied by the President of Beni Mellal-Khenifra council area Mr Adil Barakat and the Wali and the Governor of Azilal province.

​In direct communication with local communities from inside shelter tents, Minister Mansouri has stated that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in his meeting with ministers, has given his instructions that all earthquake-stricken people will benefit from subventions, either those who have lost their houses, part of their houses, or houses which experts would define their risks of collapse.

​Minister Mansour has highlighted that earthquake-stricken people will receive MAD 30 thousands a year for each family with an average of MAD 2.500 per month for each one starting from current September to cover for rent expenses so that they will not remain outdoors.

Minister Mansouri added that His Majesty has called on all citizens to be patient and show solidarity from all over Morocco, from Tangier to Lagouira, since there are other several damaged areas such as Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Ouarzazat and Ailal.

​ The Minister has stated that His Majesty has also offered a subvention evaluated at MAD 14 million cents to be paid gradually to everyone who has lost his house; and a grant worth MAD 80 thousands for houses of collapse-risks.

Minister Mansouri’s site-visit was attended by President of provincial council of Azilal Mr. Saleh Diyane; Mr. Badr Eddine Najah Faouzi President of the Great and Middle Atlas communes and other Presidents of Ait Timlil, Ait Amdis and Demnate communes.
