Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid: E-Gaming sector has achieved a transaction turnover estimated at $12 Million at the national level

Minister of Youth Culture and Communication, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid has informed that e-gaming sector has achieved a transaction turnover estimated at $120 Million at the national level.

Minister Bensaid said last Monday January 22, 2024 during an oral question session at the parliament, in response to a question about e-gaming industry in Morocco, that this sector has achieved a transaction turnover higher than other cultural and arts industries.

The Minister has confirmed that the Ministry is working actively on its strategy to create a special e-gaming industrial zone; encouraging foreign investors to make of Morocco a leading platform in this kind of industry at the African and international levels, and therefore help create 5 thousand new jobs opportunities for Moroccan youth.

Minister Bensaid has announced that several agreements will be signed during next May with big companies in the context of the organization of the first e-gaming fair in Morocco.
