Extracts from «the editor’s guest» Medi1 TV program.. Salah Eddine Abou Ghali highlights the merits and benefits of collegial leadership and talks about stakes and scopes of the PAM new generation of managerial process (Video)

Member of the PAM collegial leadership Mr. Salah Eddine Abou Ghali has stated that PAM leadership and all its militants have welcomed with big pride and gratitude His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s congratulations message addressed to Mrs. Fatima Zahra Mansouri who was elected as the national coordinator for the collegial leadership following the PAM fifth national convention.

Mr. Abou Ghali emphasized last Monday, February 12, 2024, during his invitation as a guest to Medi-1 TV program “The editor’s guest”, that the PAM secretariat general collegial leadership is fully aware of the big responsibility it bears from the side of all party’s militants.

Mr. Abou Ghali has talked about the good governance embraced by PAM during its fifth national convention as a new vision to manage the party’s matters. As His Majesty reminds us of the basic role Moroccan political parties should play which managing and educating citizens, Abou Ghali said that “His Majesty’s talking about Fatima Zahra Mansouri, has also talked about Moroccan women; and, as you know, we, in PAM, have elected young lady Najwa Koukous as the president of the national council and Fatima Zahra Mansouri as the coordinator for the collegial leadership in charge of relations with Moroccan institutions.”

This attitude, continued Abou Ghali, reaffirms that PAM has always given a very important value to women. Concerning the fifth national convention, it has produced large discussions inside various committees (politically and managerially speaking) about world and national current contexts – and from the party’s internal point of view, it has produced a new option for political leadership.

Mr. Abou Ghali has made clear that the PAM fifth national convention has empowered today a new generation of leaders, a generation that has been brought up inside the party’s ranks for about 15 years since its creation, a generation which believes in the party’s principles, its doctrine and background.. Therefore, today and after 15 years of education, ethics, practice, and progression in decision-making positions, the above-mentioned generation has become capable of assuming its responsibility.

Mr. Abou Ghali has pointed out that “PAM fifth national convention has discussed several options and it had the choice to pursue on the same classical track to elect a new secretary general as it is widely known; however, the new generation of PAM leaders have chosen to meet challenges and come up with new approaches, new ideas, new organizations and a new pattern which have led to the creation of the collegial leadership.”

According to Mr. Abou Ghali, the collegial leadership has many characteristics, first it is not temporary, it was elected by the convention for a full term- 4 year mandate. Secondly, this leadership includes three names with no difference in terms of power positions, they share the same responsibility and the same mission, the fact which gives them more legitimacy in making decision; and third in case there occurs a disagreement, among the leadership members, therefore the process is to go back to democratic voting mechanism which was adopted by the convention majority.

Mr. Abou Ghali has asserted that the collegial leadership, as a new pattern of party management, has many benefits, first cutting off with the concept of “single political leader”. We believe today in collegial leadership of the secretariat general. In addition, there is the factor of common success/team success. The goal today is not related to the success of an individual or a single leader.. without ignoring satisfaction in decision-making, as the tripartite collegial leadership will feel very satisfied by this approach, since we are looking forwards to the party’s reconstruction as the party is based on firm foundations represented in the principles of movement for all democrats.
