The PAM Secretary General Collegial Leadership held a meeting with the executive bureau of PAM-affiliated women organization
The PAM Secretary General Collegial Leadership, represented by Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid and Mr. Salah Eddine Aboulghali, held last Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the party headquarters in Rabat, a meeting with the executive bureau of PAM-affiliated women organization.
The meeting has come in the context of a series of meetings launched by the collegial leadership with all the party structures and affiliated organization, with the goal of renewing contracts and pursuing debate and dialogue about various issues that interest party political matters.
In his statement, Mr. Aboulghali has confirmed that the PAM collegial leadership has believed from the very beginning of its creation in defending women issues and affording the respected position women deserve; emphasizing that the PAM is considered among the Moroccan parties which always embrace gender approach and equal principle for the behalf of political women capable of taking the lead and active participation.
Mr. Aboulghali has called on the women organization executive bureau to underline programs and hold intellectual conferences at the level of the country’s areas, in coordination with different structures of the party, in the context of restructuring women’s regional bureaus in order to make PAM women organization a body for thinking and making proposals in issues related to women’s political, economic, social and cultural rights, and also in matters which concern equity, equality and fight against discrimination.
From his own side, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid has stated that the PAM collegial leadership hopes to see women organization as a strong affluent to reinforce cohesion between women and their leadership in the major project of active political participation and opening on women’s social spheres and other democratic and civil societies powers to rehabilitate the party’s organizational structures, renew its elite and ensure the presence of women in all organizational structures.
Mr. Bensaid added that “The party provides an appropriate climate to advance all parallel organizations, especially the women organization so as they could constitute real power capable of making a good reading and understanding structural problems related to women”; stressing that the women organization has become compelled to contribute to the open dialogue about revising the family status code and the necessity to integrate the dynamism being witnessed by the Moroccan society about the project of bringing some amendments in the code provisions.
From her own side, President of PAM-affiliated women organization, Mrs. Qulub Faytah, has informed that the organization has prepared an annual consultative action program, while taking into consideration all the proposals and important serious visions made by women members of the executive bureau and which mainly concern active integration in all women’s current issues, training women and recruiting new elite.
Mrs. Faytah has referred to the importance of women issues seen as a fundamental approach to make progress and advance Moroccan society politically, socially and economically, and contribute to the major projects of reforms on their top the family status code.
