As part of efforts to foster a community-oriented approach and strengthen direct communication with citizens, Kenza El-Sharibi, President of the Sidi Belyout District Council in Casablanca, held a community meeting with residents of the Benjedia neighborhood to listen to their concerns and discuss the most pressing issues affecting their living environment.
The meeting provided an opportunity to address a range of issues that are priorities for residents, with the district president responding immediately to several of the concerns raised—particularly those regarding street lighting in public alleys—in a move that reflects a commitment to improving the quality of services and enhancing the sense of safety and comfort within residential areas.
In this context, Kenza El-Sharibi emphasized that the council operates according to a vision centered on listening to and seriously addressing citizens’ concerns, noting that outreach meetings are a cornerstone of participatory and responsible local governance.

This meeting is fully in line with the high-level directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, which call for placing citizens at the heart of public policy, promoting good governance, and ensuring accountability, in a manner that serves local development and meets the aspirations of the population.
This meeting was very well received by the residents of the Benjedia neighborhood, who appreciated the council president’s responsiveness and prompt attention to their requests, expressing their hope that this dynamic of communication—which strengthens trust between elected officials and citizens—would continue.
