SM le Roi inaugure la nouvelle gare routière de Rabat, une composante fondamentale dans la restructuration de l’entrée sud de la Capitale
Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, que Dieu L’assiste, a procédé lundi à l’inauguration de la nouvelle gare routière de Rabat, un projet qui structure l’entrée Sud de la ville, modernise le secteur du transport interurbain au niveau de la conurbation et participe à la consolidation de l’image de la Capitale du Royaume et au renforcement de son attractivité.
La nouvelle gare routière de Rabat, qui s’inscrit en droite ligne des objectifs du programme intégré de développement de la ville de Rabat, baptisé « Rabat Ville Lumière, Capitale marocaine de la culture », compte 46 quais pour autocars et un parking pour stationnement de longue durée des autocars de 22 places, contre 38 quais dans l’ancienne gare routière d’ »Al Kamra ».
La nouvelle gare routière, qui comporte un parking extérieur pour voitures et taxis, une zone dépose-minute, ainsi que des espaces de restauration et des locaux commerciaux, devra accueillir plus de 10.000 voyageurs par jour, contre 6.000 voyageurs pour l’ancienne gare. Elle abrite un Centre commercial de 40 commerces, alors que celle d’ »Al Kamra » ne disposait que de 15 locaux commerciaux.
Mobilisant des investissements de l’ordre de 245 millions de dirhams, ce projet vient illustrer la ferme volonté du Souverain de doter la ville de Rabat d’infrastructures à la hauteur de son statut et en phase avec les attentes des populations, résidents et visiteurs.
Conçue selon une architecture unique, alliant modernité et authenticité, la nouvelle gare routière, qui bénéficie d’un accès direct à partir de l’autoroute Rabat-Casablanca, a été réalisée sur un terrain de plus de 8 hectares, situé à l’entrée Sud de l’autoroute Rabat-Casablanca, à proximité du Complexe sportif Prince Moulay Abdallah de Rabat.
La gare routière, dont les travaux de réalisation ont été lancés par le Souverain en octobre 2017, répond à des normes architecturales des plus modernes qui permettent l’optimisation des espaces intérieurs, pour une gestion fluide des passagers, le renforcement de l’attractivité de l’environnement extérieur, et le respect des exigences en matière de sûreté, de sécurité et de qualité des services.
De nouvelle génération, la gare routière est dotée d’un système informatique intégré de gestion qui favorise l’accueil et l’information des voyageurs, assure une gestion optimale des opérations de transport des voyageurs et de logistique et facilite l’achat des billets de voyage.
En plus de l’avantage évident du gain de temps, ce système aide à connaître les horaires de départ et d’arrivée des autocars et leurs trajets, à éviter les intermédiaires, et à lutter contre toute augmentation illégale des prix des tickets, l’objectif étant de promouvoir le secteur du transport routier des passagers qui permet de relier différentes villes du Royaume et génère de nombreux postes d’emploi.
La nouvelle gare dispose également d’infrastructures et d’équipements qui permettent aux passagers et aux visiteurs de la gare de bénéficier des meilleurs services, dans le respect total des conditions de sécurité.
